Yes you can't open a position on CXY - you can only close a position that may have been opened before they stopped allowing you to open a postion - if that makes sense!
The 'Pure Deal' platform may say 'closing trades only', however if you ring and ask they may let you open a position.
They do seem to be a bit inconsistent though. The other week they allowed me to open a position on GDN, but they won't allow it anymore.
Maybe they know something about the drilling progress that we don't.
