RWEmerson I have to say with respect, that in my experience the free antivirus programs actually function better than the paid ones.

I have paid for Norton/McAfee/Trend Micro on different occasions over many years and have run into problems with all 3.

Alternatively, I have used the free AVG and Avira antivirus for the past 2 or 3 years troublefree.

This of course may be only my experience, but I have found that what you pay for often causes more problems than it fixes with regard to antivirus
