Im not a big fan of ESI myself. However i did watch this doco on ABC about brown coal. Victorian gov was boasting they have over 50 years worth of brown coal in Morwell. The doco highlighted the fact it will means jobs etc and it was suggesting further investments in technologies that could improve the efficiency. They also saw new markets such as India where brown coal is more in demand. The doco was a while ago and i dont remember the name sorry.
btw i ve never traded ESI, always found it too volitile.
