It looks like gold stocks will be where a lot of the action is today..

BCC/BCCO: BCC is still holding up well . News Due: Spud date for Lee County well, Announcement of successful production ramp up at Pompano well to 6-7 mmcf/day.

MHM/MHMO: The price fell to 28 cents yesterday as the placement stock hit the market, reaching my target below 30 cents. MHM is now a buy for me as we will start to get news soon so I am hoping to pick up a few today. News Due: Completion of the acquisition of the Aluminium Salt Slag plant and progress on the establishment of a silica plant in Tasmania.

CCU: With the silver price up nearly 5% overnight CCU should perform well today. I still have a bid further down but will look to amend it up today. News Due: Further silver exploration drilling results should begin to flow in coming weeks.

ATI/ATIO: Retraced a little yesterday following on from the ASX price query. The chart still looks good and I maintain my short term target of 5-6 cents a share. News Due: Potential new projects to be brought into the company at any time.

BCN/BCNOA: With drilling at Barlee due to commence this month I expect interest in BCN to increase substantially over coming weeks. News Due: Confirmation of commencement of the new drilling program at the Barlee gold project.

RED: With the gold price hitting a new record RED is firmly back on my trading list. I currently don’t hold but will look to pick up some today. News Due: News on project finance could come through at any time which would propel the RED price to new levels. They are also due to start exploration on their second Philippines project, Mapawa, shortly which should generate added interest.
