Looks like the US earnings season is off to a good start.
Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Alcoa Inc., the largest U.S. aluminum producer, reported its first quarterly profit in a year today as it benefited from improving metal prices and saved money by cutting jobs and raw-material costs.
Alcoa jumped 47 cents, or 3.5%, to $13.89, as the aluminum giant is set to kick-start earnings season late Wednesday.
Our market might have another up day on the back of yesterdays strong rise.
