    I tend to use 2 rules one which is kinda textbook and another a rule i kinda made up myself.

    Rule number 1

    "Generally" its better and safer to buy under the VWAP (value weighted average price) This figure tends to filter out manipulation and is more accurate as the day goes buy.

    Rule number 2

    Now there is nothing to really back this up and its only my little rule but there is something about a 10% change in share price that alerts attention to me. If a 10 percent rise, i usually be a bit careful since IMO it is likely to drop. Now i know there are pleantly of cases where it doesent its just if i had to pick a sweet spot for a reversal i would choose 10 percent. This is also the case for a 10 percent drop. The percent also happens to be a popular stop loss or profit taking figure.
