Half-time round-up:
Regional markets retreated this morning as US futures pointed south and traders cashed in some of this week's gains.
At lunchtime the ASX 200 was down 42 points or 0.9% at 4672 after selling in the resources and financial sectors. The metals & mining sector lost 1.7%, gold 2.0%, materials 1.7% and financials 0.8%.
Asian markets were lower. The Nikkei lost 1.23% in morning trade, Hong Kong was down 0.13% and Shanghai by 0.24%. Dow futures were firmly negative at -32 but improving. Crude oil futures slipped around 40 cents to $72.08.
A reasonable morning here. Caught NUF and KCN on the bounce and took a small profit too early on MNM - looks much healthier now for holders and I regret my hasty exit.
Potential overnight holds: AKK looks like emerging from a nice saucer bottom. GMR has swung around. Perhaps CDU or ORG on breakout.
