Trees, fairly basic scan really.

Price between 2 & 50 cents. (popular price range)
Vol > 200000 (provides liquidity for exit)
Close > prev close (rising)
Vol > prev vol (rising)
Short MA > Long MA (short term trend up)
Price % change (Return on risk taken)
Trades (Liquidity for exit)

Then add Due Diligence.

Working in % price change provides detachment
from $ value. As in - "look it's only down 5%"
not I just lost $500 :-(
