Hi All,
I am proposing a price prediction competition for daytraders based on intraday trading. The first stage of this initiation is to develop a system that can be measured, valued and assessed for competition. My proposal for this system is for day traders to submit their prediction to the person who run the competition on certain format. The submitted prediction will be collected by the administrator of the competition, and the closest call to actual price will be the winner of the day or week.

There are three main prices on a daily trade, and those are “Open, Low, High and Close”. Before we complicate on the four main price, I propose to get started by predicting only the “High” of the day on the approved or active stocks only?

For example, If I submit for tomorrows high on RYG or until tomorrow before the market open (what ever the rules will be), my prediction will be collected by the Administrator and after the close of the market the highest accuracy prediction will be the winner of the day, Winner will be announced on aftermarket or The Weekend lounge, then certain number of winner will be decorated with a medal

Term and conditions:-

Formula: 1.00–abs(Actual-high- predicted-high)/Predicted-high

Accuracy = 1.00–abs(0.043- 0.034)/0.034
= 73.53 %

I'm all for a bit of healthy fun and competition but you may need to be the one running it higo as it's your baby. I do like the idea though that if it's a DT competition it should somehow be related to the intraday trade. Maybe a Thursday nite entry to pick the best intraday rise on any stock the tipper likes for Friday's trading. Only problem is a lot of good trades come from news on the day. With a Friday competition, it gives the week a bit of a wrap up and by Thursday we all know how the week has traded so we have some ideas for Friday's trades. I don't like the t-shirt idea though, that's what the STT winners get. Maybe cookies as that seems to be getting thrown around with a bit of fun. Where is my cookie? lol
