But what is a call? I thought it was a potential setup, where if conditions go right, the price could rise. If there was such a thing as a definite call, then traders would all be able to retire after a year or two and buy an exotic island to live happily ever after. To me, the onus when something is called, is to monitor it to see if it presents a trade that suits my criteria. I followed a call today, (not on HC), and analysed it - it fit my criteria so I bought and sold and made a profit but I could have followed the same call and made a loss by not getting my entry and exits correct. I guess that's not the same as a call that doesn't even move but if it had potential to move if volume arrives and volume doesn't arrive, is it necessarily a bad call? If we could all only pick winners, there would be no need for forums like this.
