Cleo, the worst bad habit I picked up in my years as a buy n hold investor was to hang on to stocks to wait for them to recover. It was always a bad move but even worse these days.

SPs drop fast these days and tend to be inflated to start with. You must cut an run immediately imo.

Since I started DT 4 years ago my biggest losses have been from not selling out of bad trades or holding stocks in downtrend.

I just don't do it nowdays. Took a long time to sink in.
