In the past month I've been unable to place trades (despite having the funds) because (I am told) the ASX imposes restrictions on the price differential between the last trade & my attempted buy price. Sometimes as small as 3 pips. I'm sure I traded larger gaps than that in the past. Lots of missed opportunities and it really annoys me as it's my money to do with as I please. It also inhibits my buying gap ups on open, if I saw a trade in it. I can't buy until someone else hits the price .. and when it's moving fast, that's pretty near impossible..moving target.
