Just a comment in the interests of smoothing the path.
I'm a bit of a natural smart a**. But I learnt very quickly when I started posting on the web that some forms of humour, espc "irony" do not seem to translate at all well. It might be the lack of "face to face", but whatever, it often gets a poor response.
No offence intended, but I notice the "techie" types have least appreciation - err in general. The exception for me is Haspete, he's just about the only techie I'm game to have a joke with.
