The delusions of people believing in XTV for LT is remarkable.

To be fair, the people that were praising XTV are not IT or tech people by the looks of it. Suckered in by IT buzz words like "cloud" as if it is new or relevant to a good product.

"b-b-but, you can have your OWN TV CHANNEL on your company website!"
... Or you can make a video, embed said video(s) to your website like every other company and guess what - *gasp* - it's free.

Time and time again I kept asking how XTV will benefit companies or even the market in general in ways that Twitch or Youtube cannot, and the only answers I kept getting was "Uhhhh, AT&T ARE INVESTING, THEY CAN'T BE WRONG YOU DOWN RAMPER. They are huge!!! Biggest-OMG-ever telcom, how dare you downramp!".
Arguments suitable for children, no sympathy for those people.

Bad luck to those who were in it for the hype though.

XTV would have failed regardless if AT&T pulled out or not.
