Thanks nihilsm I will add that indicator to my suite again, I have deleted the SMA and not added it since...Iwill investigate it over time and see if I have now learned enough to apply it better and like you say.
I can see the strength of what you are saying and I have tried loosely the same approach with 8 stocks but my big mistake was I also tried to learn each's fundamental personality's thinking I was smart/competent enough to comprehend their soon to zoom price increases....I failed...but I think all of them did at some time since make really good gains...NEU for instance.
My mistake I suspect was to get too involved I do not have the available funds/confidence or the time to wait yet, I could have done more of only what you outlined....get hard arse and play more of a defined game within probability and risk....my 8 stocks pick and the out may have been a lot better.
New doors do open sooner of later if one keeps plugging away at this stuff.
