Pure price action. Pin bars, bullish/bearish outside bars, double high lower close, double low higher close etc etc
Price pivot zones.
Confluence of trend lines, ppz's, fibs.
'Space' for the trade to move vs trading into 'traffic' (trouble areas) Def helps me narrow down the a++++ setups i like snd the type of trade im taking ie breakout, day trade, when price is trading in a box etc.
Momentum indicator purely to look for divergence.
Even though i have a 20, 41 and 195 ema on my charts, i treat them as areas to watch for price action and it still has to confirm any trades. In strong uptrends price tends to bounce off the 20ema. Marty Schwartz uses the 10 day m/a to determine his s/t trade direction etc etc Plenty of info around on this topic seeing as it seems to be human nature to counter trend trade at the very least they could keep you on the right side of the trend.
Even though i only trade the top 20 in Australia im certain the same simple price action principles could be applied to the small caps.
Best of luck.
