Day trading is always different to short-term. Day trade Price, Volume on a 1min chart is all you need... I love low-volume reversal signals. Fairly good record of coming off too..
Those would be my top 5.. and I never really allow short terms to become long terms.. I have lost on stocks which initially rose on my expected news only to fall in love and believe the 'rocket' stories.
LYC I did this, I bought before TOL and got a 40% increase in 2 weeks of holding. Kept holding due to foolishness on my part and ended up losing 5% (luckily I forgot about my automatic stop-loss in commsec or I would of been out a fair bit more I suspect..)
