@Trees - I love pirates. Here is a story about pirates:
Author is shelby - so no copyright
Back in the days of pirate ships, rivalry between the captains was rife.
You see the Captain of each ship spent many hours persuading the crew that their ship was second to none.
They would rave on all day about how their ship was the finest and safest ever built.
The crew, who led a sheltered, confined life on board the ship knew no better. They were convinced that their Captain knew best, and their ship truly was the finest pirate ship ever built.
Despite the oceans being vast and wide, every once in a while these ships would cross paths.
The Captains became very annoyed !! How dare anyone else sail into their waters?
A mutiny would ensue soon after.
During the fight, the crew members on each ship began to realize that the ships were very similar. Neither ship was any stronger or safer than the other.
The crew began to wonder, and they were no longer convinced that their ship was the finest.
The Captains of both ships both knew they owned rickety old tubs, but they needed the pirates to believe that theirs was the better ship in order to attract a stronger crew.
The stronger the crew, the more gold coins they would be able to steal.
The moral of the story:
Replace "ships" with "stocks", and you should get the idea
