Hi guys, I posted on the dt thread today but I really didn't realise how chaotic that thread was and that no one really has the time in trading hours to even contemplate my request, so I am re posting on this thread which seems a lot more relaxed...

I have had the metastock platform for about eight years however other than building simple indicators in the indicator builder and having an even simpler understanding of the indicator formula primer I can't even begin to get my head around what I want to create...
Anyway here is my dilemma...
I want to build an indicator that gives a market cap based weight to all asx200 listed companies and then takes the traded volume of these companies and rolls them into a single volume indicator, effectively giving me a pretty close read on the traded volume for the index.
