Good post, Poly. The market is looking increasingly frothy imo. The prospect of the start of the US earnings season has propped up Wall Street for the last few weeks but I wonder how good the results have to be to fuel further gains? Energy prices are reaching levels where they're going to start to bite. The BHP-Woodside deal could also a red flag because the biggest deals often come near market tops. I don't anticipate any immediate implosion - the biggest gains often come at the end of a run when the market goes parabolic - but it may pay to be a little more cautious in the weeks ahead.
