    Happy Mufti Day traders,

It's all about China today imo, with a suite of information coming out on their economy coming out from 12noon today including Employment, GDP, Retail Sales, Industrial Production, Inflation, outlook etc.

    US Market Report:

U.S. stocks ended Thursday's session mostly flat, erasing earlier losses as commodities and energy stocks climbed higher. The gains in oil offset weakness in the banking and technology sectors. "It's a lot of wait and see at the moment," said Frank Davis, director of sales and trading with LEK Securities. [Source: cnnmoney.com]

    Market Reflections - Thursday, 14th April, 2011

The latest weekly data for jobless claims show a noticeable jump but there's no word that it's due to Japanese supply issues. The claims jump raised concern about the jobs outlook and kept the Dow in check at 12,285.

Energy gave a big boost to producer prices, raising inflation talk and giving gold a $15 lift to a new record at $1,475. Oil regained another dollar to $108. [Source: bloomberg.com]
