Kates9999: Your Silver article was from a guru called Mahendra, right? I used to read his predictions in Bill Murphy's precious metal daily newsletter from GATA. Mahendra went quiet for a few years when Gold/Silver failed to do what he said. I no longer read Murphy's pages, as he became extremely tedious in his constant predictions of doom and gloom, and how that was going to be good for Gold, etc. And the timeframe was always "any day/week/month now. . . .". Well, the days/weeks/months/years came and went, and the world is still turning.

To GATA and Murphy's credit however, they did warn of the GFC well before anyone else had heard of it. And Fannie/Freedy/Ford/GM insolvency. . . .

The fact is, the US market is well managed, and that means Gold and Silver are kept in place, or at least allowed to rise very slowly. I still like them both (shares and bullion) long-term.
