Good morning Traders (thanks for handover highlandlad),

    DOW overnight Snapshot

"Stocks closed higher Monday, recovering from earlier weakness, as optimism about corporate results due this week outweighed ongoing concerns about the economy. Stocks opened higher but struggled to gain momentum for most of the day as investors responded to a report that showed homebuilder confidence fell to a 15-year low in July, raising concerns about other housing reports due later this week. But the major indexes rallied in the afternoon as investors geared up for key corporate results due this week, including reports from blue chips such as Microsoft, AT&T, Coca-Cola and American Express. In addition, Apple, Wells Fargo, Ford Motor and UPS are due to post results this week." [Source: cnnmoney.com]

    Of Note in Australia today:

  5. RBA Meeting's Minutes [High volatility expected]
[The minutes of the Reserve Bank of Australia meetings are published two weeks after the interest rate decision. The minutes give a full account of the policy discussion, including differences of view. They also record the votes of the individual members of the Committee. Generally speaking, if the RBA is hawkish about the inflationary outlook for the economy, then the markets see a higher possibility of a rate increase, and that is positive for the AUD.]
