Good Morning all,
US - Market Reflections - Friday 17th June, 2011
There's still a lot of uncertainty, but German and French cooperation to ease pressure on Greece gave a boost to the Dow which rose nearly 1/2 percentage point and is back over 12,000 at 12,004. The euro rose nearly one percent against the dollar while the dollar index fell roughly the same. Weak US economic demand remains the talk in the oil market where light crude fell another $2 to $93. Commodities are mostly dipping but not gold which, boosted by the sovereign risk in Europe, firmed $10 to $1,540.
Market Focus in the US this evening
Watch for weekend events in Europe to set the early tone for the week.
