    Good Morning all (thanks Highlandlad),

    US - Market Reflections - Friday 24th June, 2011

Old worries over Greece and new worries over Greek-related trouble for Italian banks moved investors on Friday toward safety. The Dow is once again under 12,000, down one percent on the day to 11,934. Buyers of Treasuries are accepting lower yields especially for intermediate maturities including the 5-year note where the yield fell a steep six basis points to 2.11 percent. Demand for the dollar is on the increase with the dollar index up 1/4 of a percent. The euro slid 1/2 percent against the dollar to end the week at $1.4180. Doubts over economic strength continue to weigh on commodities including oil, down $1 at $91, and gold down $20 at $1,500.
