Mr Swan reiterated the Government's argument that many mining companies were paying "well below" the 30 per cent company tax rate because they were eligible for a range of generous deductions.
"Many mining companies will not be paying super-profits tax because they are not super profitable."
it will bounce back once every one knows "REALLY" what they will be paying, i would expect major miners to pay up to 4% more, and all metals will be up more thatn 4% in 2012,
