GOLD. I dunno Barnsty. You must be old enough to remember the "Pound Sterling". Wat a bastion that was. Not that long ago. Now we have US$. There is no logical way you see it coming back. Even if/when the world economy recovers its a long shot that the US$ will be leading the way. That will be more of a factor in the gold price. Mind you, I don't see it as an alternate currency, there is not enough gold. Don't gorget the Yen, another sinker.
