Driving through Le Lavandou, along the French Riviera,Ron soon spotted a sandy beach."Look kids,no poncee sun-chairs at this beach,looks like it's free,this'll do us," said Ron. Carrying their boogie boards,blue and white Esky,picnic basket and singing an old Aussie anthem (see below) the Aussie tourists soon found a place on the sand. With their wide straw hats,wrap-around sunnies,white painted noses,Hawaiian shirts and beer bellies, to the Cafe cultured Europeans,they appeared to come from another planet. Approaching nervously,Pierre greeted the strangers."Bonjour" said Pierre."Bonjour,yerself"replied Ron "where's thesurf"."le surf" said Pierre."Yea,like a milkpond" said Ron "flat as a pancake out there"."A pancake" quizzed Pierre. Realising the Frenchman couldn't understand him,Ron in his best French said "Je ne parle pas de francais, je suis l'australien". "Oh, Aussie,Australian,you mean like football,MHM,kangaroo's and Holden cars," replied the frenchman in his best English."yea"replied Ron,"you got it" .
With a smile of relief,the Frenchman soon turned to all the onlookers and shouted "IT's OK,their not ALIENS,their AUSTRALIANS!"
