    Thanks Tweets. Half-time round-up:

The share market hovered near yesterday's four-month high this morning as regional markets traded mixed.

At lunchtime the ASX 200 was flat at 4675 and well off the morning low of 4657. Gains for Telstra, the big banks and property trusts off-set losses among the miners. The gold sector was hardest hit, down 1.1% as the spot price of gold eased another 60 cents to $1,293.80 an ounce this morning.

The dollar continued to appreciate ahead of next week's Reserve Bank meeting. The dollar was recently buying 96.1 U.S. cents after hitting a fresh two-year high of 96.45 US cents overnight.

Asian markets were mostly lower. Japan's Nikkei fell 0.76% in morning trade, Shanghai was off 0.19% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng up 0.1%. Dow futures were recently at +12.

Crude oil futures were unchanged at $76.23 a barrel.

Plenty of runners this morning. I traded two on pullback - ALY and GDN - for modest profits. Had hoped for more from both but there may simply be too many to choose from this morning. The best runs tend to come when there is only one or two shares moving hard.
