'Market Focus' in the US this evening

"Jobless claims have been high but not disastrously high." [Source: nasdaq.com., Mark Pender]

'Market Reflections' from the last trading session (29.09.2010)

"Public protests in Europe aren't boosting confidence in debt reduction plans. Yet the euro has been strengthening on the troubles, not weakening as it had earlier in the year. The euro ended at $1.3650. On the other side of the coin, the dollar has been weakening in what is extended reaction to last week's FOMC promise to print more dollars if necessary. The dollar index, slightly lower Wednesday at 78.75, is down three percent over the last week.

Markets were little changed in the session. The Dow ended slightly lower at 10,835 with the 30-year yield at 3.68 percent. Oil ended below $78 with gold below $1,310. Base metals got a lift from strong Chinese purchaser data with copper at a two year high over $3.60." [Source: nasdaq.com., Mark Pender]

[The RBA Commodity Price SDR released by the Reserve Bank of Australia is considered as an early indicator of export price changes. The price changes influence GDP and exchange rates.
