"Any substantial change for jobless claims will likely be clouded by Labor Day effects." [Source: nasdaq.com., Mark Pender]

'Market Reflections' from the last trading session (15.09.2010)

"Yen buying by Japan, a rare unilateral move, touched off condemnations of currency manipulation. The buying stripped more than two yen from the dollar rate which ended at Y85.50 vs. just over Y83 on Tuesday. The dollar as a whole ended higher with the dollar index up mildly to 81.47. The intervention is aimed at making Japanese exports more competitive vs. the exports of other nations.

It was another another solid day for U.S. economic data. Industrial production for August added to July's big gain while Empire State data point to order strength for September. The Dow gained 0.4 percent to 10,572. Demand for Treasuries eased with the 30-year yield rising nine basis points to 3.87 percent. Oil fell back about one percent to just under $77 while gold held onto yesterday's big gain, ending at $1,267." [Source: nasdaq.com., Mark Pender]

  3. Jobless Claims [ Merits extra attention]

  4. Treasury International Capital [ Merits extra attention]
[These Treasury data track the flows of financial instruments into and out of the United States. Instruments tracked include Treasury securities, agency securities, corporate bonds, and corporate equities.]
