'Market Focus' in the US this evening

"If consumer prices don't offer any surprises, focus will be improvement for consumer sentiment." [Source: nasdaq.com., Mark Pender]

'Market Reflections' from the last trading session (16.09.2010)

"Thursday's news was mixed. Jobless claims showed improvement though conclusions can't be drawn given Labor Day distortions. Clearly negative were details of the Philly Fed manufacturing report which show increasing contraction in orders. From the company side, Federal Express lowered its outlook saying economic growth is likely to remain slow.

Stocks drifted through the session ending slightly higher on the Dow which closed just below 10,600. The 30-year yield rose slightly to end at 3.93 percent while the dollar index inched lower to 81.22. Dollar/yen ended little changed at Y85.80. Oil fell back two percent to $75.50 while gold firmed slightly to $1,275." [Source: nasdaq.com., Mark Pender]
