daytrading 11 july pre market

Good morning traders.

Benny is speaking live at the moment and I was listening till I got a headache, though markets seem to be liking what he is saying as gold started moving up and the SPI futures have jumped from -14 to +5 at the time of writing .
Need to recheck closer to the open.

Overseas markets finished the day mostly flat with some slightly pushing into the black and others not quite getting to the line.

DOW down 8.76 points

S & P up 0.30 points

Nasdaq up 16.5 points

FTSE - 8
DAX +8

Gold $ 1262

The USD index has lost half a cent over night to 84.06

WTI crude ended up strongly for the day +$2 ….106.52

Copper managed a 2 cent rise to close at 3.09

Dow futures seemed to have jumped a fair bit as a result of Benanke’s speech , might go and read the media reports.
