It would display the year chart Ok and then It would be not display a day/minute view at all always revert back to a year view. I tried several versions of Java 7 and even went back to java 6 but no go. As I am a Mac Server Specialist I joined there Developer program and installed 10.10 and it requires Java 8 which i have now installed and it works fine and seem very fast compared to V7 the downside is it may contain bugs and may be a not be as secure but my router will stop any perceived intrusions.

If you have 10.9 etc you can go to Java.com and try to get Java 8 or in the past I have downloaded tried installing each Java version and testing it in turn and then when Apple release an update it usually breaks and when java releases an update it also breaks. The secret is to get a java version that works and then don't update. E*Trade bug fixes will also break it.

Java on a Mac is a real pain in the neck.

It may still break however but for now it seem fine
