IMO you don't want to be trading just Chi-x. The volume is much lower. Also your order is sitting there it will be at the back of the line behind the ASX. Would be worse off.

ASX only is the way to go. Saves getting front run when the oder is 'pinged' on Chi-x first then the HFT's can then beat the order to the ASX platform.

Front running - Commsec & Etrade have recently closed their dark pools. Basically the orders appeared to be routed to the dark pool first and HFT's were then picking them off on the nest route to the Chi-x and ASX exchanges.
