Good afternoon Traders

After a flat night on US markets our local market jumped from the gate well but faded quickly as there seemed to be little interest and volumes reflected this. The XJO had headed into negative territory by 11 am and continues to languish below the line with a negative 20 points.

The small caps seem to be holding up better with the XSO only marginally negative and the defensive sector of health care and telcos doing much better than the materials which is down over 1.4 %.

PRY and PDN made impressive gains after good announcements and CRZ and DOW added to yesterdays gains.
KBL and KDR are doing very well among the smaller end of the spectrum.

AQG , OZL , SGM & SAI were among the bigger falls .

Asian markets are also negative with the Nikkei - 0.25 % and Hang seng - 1.11 %
