1. toadys newspaper: as a day trader, you need the latest data, and the best data is obtained through print media, such as the AFR. you should spend the first few hours of your morning going over the numbers with a red pen, circling the ones that you think will make good trades.

2. a telephone: this machine is required for you to place trades.

3. a broker: a good broker is essential, its impossible to trade without one. using your telephone machine, you can call your broker and advise him/her of your circled numbers and ask that trades be placed accordingly. this usually happens between the hours of 11pm and 12pm.

4. golf clubs: now that its the afternoon, all the other day traders will be at the golf course giving the best tips on the back 9. if you dont play golf every day, you will never make it as a day trader as you'll miss all these tips.

remember that day-trading is a 7 day a week job. your weekends will mostly be spent at the race track, marina or polo club, where you will be mingling with politicians and captains of industry while racing your vintage MG, sailing your 40ft yacht and engaging in the sport of kings, all in exchange for the latest stock tips in preperation for the week ahead.
