must say it was impressive the way the US markets held together in the last hour after the news broke that S&P will put the entire 17 members of the EU on ratings watch negative, which basically means there is a 50/50 chance any of the 17 countries could be downgraded within 90 days, after an initial shock that Germany was on the list the market held together very well.
will be interesting to see how long the market will continue to put aside the continued Euro area worries and head higher, maybe fridays Euro Summit might be the pivot point in time that signals a short term end to this current market rally.
in terms of trading today, it will be interesting to see if VRX comes out with their latest round of results or whether they will wait till tomorrow, these results will have major implications for the whole Doolgunna region with other plays such as SRI/LSR/RIE etc likely to benefit on further positive news.
