I never said LT holds were a good thing, but even your WoW example is flawed.
Over the last 5 years, say you wanted to have a low risk, dividend stock, Many would say wow would be a good choice however they would be _wrong_.
CSL - Far better returns including dividends, almost 5x what you got from Wow including dividend.
TLS - Far better returns, 3x your returns including divi.
In fact, even the big 4 did almost double your returns inc. divi.
West farmers did around 1.5x your return.
ALWAYS re-evaluate your stocks IMO. Don't sit there assuming companies which were well ran 10 years ago are still equally well run today.
