GINA Rinehart's strategy of investing in early-stage coal projects in Queensland is leading to further riches for the billionaire, with joint venture partner International Coal today revealing a potentially high-quality discovery near Bundaberg.

International Coal told the Australian Securities Exchange that results at one drill hole in the Maryborough Basin had returned a coal swell index of 9, which is considered to be extremely high-quality coking coal.
