I had a nice surprise of $200-300 execution from IG price improvement about a month back, I think you can write your own program on their advanced platform.
Had email recently from FP about charging for shorts (0.5% i think, can't remember, maybe someone can confirm)
I like Amscot for execution (i predominantly trade announcements), know when i'm gonna hit the filters
I reckon you can negotiate with most brokers if you're active enough
All my brokers were miserly this year, not a single email wishing Merry Xmas nevermind any gift voucher etc
must put $50k through Amscot (nothing last year either), nothing from FP (got hamper last year), got emails from Comsec, Etrade, IG last year - nothing this year - humbug
