03 January 2012 - India Resources advised that a new ore crushing
and milling record has been achieved at the Surda copper mine in
India. Crushing and Milling volumes have surpassed previous records
with a new level of 39,026 and 39,018t respectively being achieved for
the month of December 2011. The previous best performance for the
mine was 38,470 and 38,475t. Copper production at Surda for
December 2011 was 304t metal-in-concentrate and despatch for the
month was 336t. Copper production from the Surda operations is
forecast to improve further in the coming months, with new higher
grade areas beginning to contribute to the production profile.
