Personally I think if you have a goal the best way to achieve that goal is to help others achieve it ie if you want to make money you should help others make money.
It's a bit esoteric and energetic but you can't help someone else without helping yourself... everything and everyone are just different parts of the same energy...
Everything you do you do for yourself (even if all you do is help 'other' people, in some way you'll get benefit from that as well)
