AusQuest Limited (ASX: AQD) is pleased to advise that diamond drilling has commenced at
its 100%-owned Earoo Nickel Project, located approximately 300km north-east of Perth in
Western Australia, to test two strong electro-magnetic (EM) targets identified late last year.
The Company has contracted DDH1 Drilling Pty Ltd to undertake a minimum program of
five holes for 1,000m of drilling, which is expected to take approximately two weeks to
complete with assays being available approximately 3-4 weeks after drilling is completed.
The EM targets were identified by ground EM surveys completed late in 2012. Modelling of
the EM data indicates the targets have high-conductance, suggesting the presence of a
sulphide source.
The strongest anomaly occurs at depths of 150 to 200m and is at least 400m long and 50m
wide. It has a relatively flat plunge (~10°), suggesting it is likely to be hosted within the large
flat-lying mafic sill that is evident in the aeromagnetic data.
