Umizoomi, on the bots...
Some algo programs are front running orders..... Must be set to detect decent sized orders being placed in the market (which will hit the ask or bid) and basically jump in front of them or change the depth before the order hits...
Day Traders can actually scalp algo's - I do it sometimes but it does take some time watching the pattern...
It's ust part of a traders life now and no point complaining.... Need to at it as a positive as the algo's do often quickly run a trade too far in a direction on a break - so they can work in the traders advantage too...
