    Elroy - I do that too, except the ones that go nowhere actually do go somewhere - down.

    For me it's a case of training myself to sell for a small loss rather than hanging on and hoping for a recovery. It just doesn't happen and I'm starting to realise that. Maybe 1 in 5 comes back and you get out for brokerage or a tick of profit but the other 4 just tie up your trading capital for as long as you hold them...

    And then as soon as you sell them they miraculously start moving up again! That's the part I love the most (oops, sarcasm there at the end, sorry!).
