Big Boss is just off for a day

Morning everyone

The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 111.9 points, or 0.8%, to 14,559.65.

The S&P 500 SPX +0.78% climbed 12.08 points, or 0.8%, to 1,563.77, leaving it 1.38 points from its all-time closing high set in October 2007.

The Aussie dollar was stronger, trading at $US1.0489 after closing yesterday at around $US1.0465

China iron ore added $US1.10 to $US137.10 a metric tonne

Gold fell down 0.4% at $1598.30 an ounce

WTI crude oil added 1.6% to $96.34 a barrel
