on the whole unwinding of the mining thing: Like everyone else I had been bashing my head against a brick wall with mining specs. Maybe that is now like swimming against the current rather than with the current. I have had more success lately trading anything but miners. QBE was $35 pre GFC and recently as low as 10 bucks. One reason is that they have so much parked in USDs while the AUD has been high....but....

weak commodities = falling miners = lower AUD = QBE going KARching!!. Party seems to be over for QBE just for the minute but I suspect it will pull back, catch it's breath and head for 20 bucks.....and life has become soooo much easier since I turned around and started swimming WITH the current.
