nihilism, i am not certain that is the case, but have heard of big instos capable of doing this - and hence the 'arbitrage' opportunities by trading the slight differences in the same stock on different exchanges.
Regardless, trading on the UNS on the nasdaq had a sudden increase in interest last night.
