    I agree in part, but all depends what happens with the debt ceiling

    IMO, it has no other option than to be lifted, which means the bonds continued to get paid out with funny money and the punchbowl that is their equities market continues its run likely to 16,000 - raising the debt ceiling is a dreadful outcome as it just increases their problem but kicks it onto the next guy

    The real question is though, even if the bond holders continue to get paid out, at some point someone will act first and dump the US debt to avoid being last out the gate - similar to the movie margin call if you've watched it

    The US bond and equities markets only continues to work while everyone cooperates. Herd mentality works much more fiercely on the way down than the way up
